Monitor your activation and retention metrics. Until you get good retention is will be quite inefficient to invest in marketing.
Then I would recommend you to consider a fractional CMO or marketing junior with mentoring at the start to save on budget. I actually wrote a blog post on the topic: https://www.tetriz.io/blog/do-yo...
How do you hire your first CMO ?

It depends a lot on your target audience. For B2B SaaS, product hunt can be a good lead source.

Social media aren't realy reliable as they change their algorithm often. It is also easier to archive an email for later than to archive a social post.

No. You can launch on your own. A hunter just helps you boost the launch, so it is nice to have if you are new to product hunt. You can find relevant hunters on : https://upvote-bell.com/
Does Top Hunter require you to launch your product?

Launch your MVP on product hunt as soon as possible. :)
You can relaunch after 6 months if you have some feature updates. All upvoters of your first launch become followers of your product hub page, so you can build up an audience over time.
How do you validate your product idea?

Just Google spreadsheet. I actually plan to share the template I'm using for free, I just need to find time to record a tutorial about it.

Hello there.
I'm happy to hunt yet another GrowthHacking tool.
CalendarHunter helps you discover hidden meeting scheduling links like Calendly. CalendarHunter can help you find leads on Linkedin, Twitter, and Reddit.
You will have to schedule meetings for those leads so you will have to focus on quality and not quantity.
The tool is still early stage so any feedback is welcome.
