Curious Entrepreneur building Tendr

About

I'm the Founder of Tendr, an event-tech platform simplifying the way people plan and celebrate life's special moments. My entrepreneurial journey is driven by a passion for solving real-world problems through technology and creating meaningful experiences for people. At Tendr, we're building more than a vendor marketplace—we're creating a complete celebration ecosystem where users can discover trusted vendors, manage budgets, organize events, and plan every detail from one place. I enjoy turning ideas into products, learning from every challenge, and continuously improving through customer feedback. I believe entrepreneurship is about creating value, staying resilient, and building solutions that make people's lives easier.

How do you actually make event planning simpler?

We re building Tendr around a problem that seemed surprisingly fragmented when we started working on it.

Planning an event often means:
Google for vendors Instagram for ideas WhatsApp for coordination spreadsheets/notes for budgets multiple calls to get everything sorted.

We re trying to bring more of that journey into one place from planning and finding vendors to booking and organizing the requirements.

We ve been testing this through real events and are now building the product around what we re learning.

Why is planning a simple party still so complicated?

I ve been thinking about something that feels oddly outdated.

Planning a celebration sounds simple: pick a date, decide on a budget, find a few vendors, and get everything booked.

But in reality, even for a simple birthday or house party, you can end up spending hours searching Instagram, Google, WhatsApp groups, asking friends for recommendations, comparing quotes, and coordinating 5 6 different people.

And the frustrating part is that most of the information you need is scattered everywhere.

How to do marketing in such a industry where traditional vendors and methods are used ?

I have been working in event tech industry where people can plan their event , book vendors and make a full plan and ecosystem for events across whole year with all the things needed embedded in a single platform .
The pain point is that this industry runs through too much word of mouth and traditional ways , people call their fixed vendors and they handle that .
So how to do affective marketing in such case with better results and good ROI?
