Building the future of migration

About

I'm Dani. I've moved countries four times: Argentina → Australia → Italy → Spain. Every move exposed the same broken system: confusing, expensive, and lonely. Thousands of immigration lawyers. Almost no products built for the people actually going through it. Before this, I spent years in VC, helping launch 70+ startups, designing accelerators behind $200M+ in funding, and running due diligence for angel syndicates. I learned what great companies look like from the investor's side. We're building the product layer for immigration, making it simple to live, work, and thrive in a new country. Starting with Spain, then expanding across the Spanish-speaking world. 281M migrants today. 450M by 2050. Our mission: borderless living.

I moved across 4 countries before turning 30. Every move taught me the same lesson.

My grandma immigrated in 1930, I immigrated in 2015, 2019, 2022 and 2024 , and somehow... the system barely changed.

Hi, I'm Daniela, CEO & Co-founder of Abroad. I'm the daughter and granddaughter of immigrants, and Spain is the fourth country I've called home.

For a long time, I thought my story was unusual. Now I think it's becoming the norm.

Look around, your coworker is probably from another country.

How do you prevent or already fight the burnout from work / business?

We know this situation exists, but not many people are openly talking about it.

Being in a highly competitive entrepreneurial environment is challenging on many levels... not only in terms of sales and business growth, but also legal responsibilities, administration, and often handling most things independently, all while managing family and personal stuff.

Doing one of these because I get more from reading what others are building than from any newsletter.

I'll start.
