Genuinely curious: what s your first-mile approach before you book those early interviews?

Do you start with Reddit deep-dives? Reverse-engineer reviews? Talk to personas in your head?

Most businesses and startups rely on VCs.

I would briefly write it as follows:

Product Hunt was created specifically to showcase what you do. But let s face it, with the progress of AI, there are more and more products and you don t have time to test them all (respect to @gabe , who does this job brilliantly).

I noticed that as my following grew throughout social media, more people contacted me wanting to test products. Of course, I don t have room for everyone, and what s even more shocking is that to get to me, they want to compensate me for testing.

Everyone s been talking about AI Agents over the past year.

But the real leverage doesn t come from the agent itself. It comes from the context you provide:

It feels like almost everyone is using ChatGPT, Claude, or some other AI to create content now.

And the result?

America has always been seen as a place where tech startups are born (especially Silicon Valley and San Francisco).

Historically, Europe has been a place for universities and banks (Italy, etc.)

Several of you launch your products on multiple platforms that are alternatives to Product Hunt.

• Do you proceed with preparation and promotion in the same way as when launching on PH, or do you have a slightly "chill" approach and take it less seriously?

• What is the gap between launching on PH and launching on an alternative platform (+ where do you launch earlier?)

At least for me, when I buy something, I consider:

1. price in relation to time, how long the product will serve me

2. investment whether buying the product will generate money for me

3. benefit solving a problem, saving time, fulfilling a need

At a time when everyone allows themselves to build any solution using AI, it is difficult to differentiate themselves, and makers are betting on more aggressive distribution.

Some differentiate themselves with good tech support, some build their personal brand as a founder, and some pay influencers.
