Free Image Slideshow GIF Generator

What's great

I always struggle with gif generation. Free tools are almost never convenient, rather slow and almost always just basic. Here you can create complex slideshows with a few steps and receive a really cool result. I'm impressed!

What needs improvement

Maybe add different slide transitions, if that's possible in gifs

vs Alternatives

because it's free and easy to use, you don't have to wait long to generate a gif and can try various layouts

Are there preset canvas sizes for emails and social?

yes, for Instagram, emails and general ratios

Does it compress GIFs without losing much quality?

yes

Can I set background color or add borders and padding?

You can set borders, but not paddings. The bg is transparent, which I find great, since it fits any place.

GSC Countdown Timer for Shopify

What's great

It's easy to use, provides new designs for every holiday. And it's free!

What needs improvement

Waiting for them to add a scheduled timer node.

vs Alternatives

I liked their vibrant presets, I also try to give preference to apps with a "Built for Shopify"badge and this one has it.

Does it support mobile-responsive and ADA-accessible designs?

Yes, it does

Can timers be added to homepage sections and announcement bars?

Certainly! I've also added it to cart drawer, they have code snippets to place it literally anywhere.

Can I hide timers when inventory is low or sold out?

Don't found this

DeepSeek
I find it helpful in my simple coding tasks, generating some snippets etc. But if you ask it some regular questions, it is soooo wordy! (even if you reduce the heat and tell it to write shorter). Assume, the approach should be different from those with gpt. Security issues don't bother me, since I obviously don't use it for top secret tasks :)

ChatGPT by OpenAI
If you train it, it's invaluable. I use it every day for my writings tasks, and it helps me a lot. Still can't write like me, but maybe I don't feed it enough with my example references :)

GitBook
I don't like the new approach when what you write in the editor looks totally different when you publish it, especially tables. The rest is fine

Love it for its flexibility and ease of use, they provide a lot of tutorials to easily get started
Duolingo
I like it so much! Especially how they've evolved with years, adding grammar explanations in intro
Bard
I use Bard even more often than chatGPT, its absolute benefit is the access to the internet and the structured replies. And it's not so overly emotional like chatGPT.

Like it better than Google translate. It's adaptive and provides variants for certain context.

Notion
Totally recommend for user manuals! Many visual means and features to play with. Only the navigation structure could've been better.
GitBook
I use Gitbook to write a user manual for one product. All in all, I like that they develop and introduce new visuals and features to it, but I don't like that it's not a light-weight solution at all...
