Waylight

What's great

I can't say it's fantastic because that would not be telling the truth.

What needs improvement

To be honest, I feel like everything needs improvement, especially the AI model they have chosen to run locally. It's nowhere it should be in context-aware understanding.

vs Alternatives

I chose Waylight because I believed it could, if it stayed true to its promises, serve as a tool to help me recall events from my day that I might forget. Its primary use cases appeared to be providing a comprehensive overview of the day and revealing what I actually did, rather than my assumptions of what I had done.

What is the performance impact on Apple Silicon Macs?

It really depends on what you mean by performance. In terms of speed and responsiveness, it feels solid.

But if performance also means stability and consistency, it struggles. It crashed three times within about 24 hours of use. Overall, the experience is mixed.

How good is the automatic to-do extraction from activity?

I would say that's one of the many weaknesses, and it's quite inaccurate.

How steep is the learning curve for new users?

There is no learning curve per se. It's pretty straightforward. You start with onboarding, and that's it.

Jaeves: Content & Marketing AI Copilot
Having just begun my journey with Jaeves, I'm blown away by its many features. It's marketed as an all-in-one AI suite, and honestly, it's every bit of that and more. The feature that stands out to me is the ability to craft content in over 32 languages – it's a game-changer, especially for someone like me looking to connect with a global audience. But what's even more impressive is how it's not just about languages. Jaeves smoothly combines tools like image generation, Speech-to-Text, Text-to-Speech, and even coding, which is incredibly useful for a content creator. It's like having a Swiss Army knife for all my creative needs!
