What is one business advice you'd give your younger self?

Building and launching products, testing them in real markets and building a business are like mini-MBAs. It teaches you a lot of things about human behavior, finance, marketing, sales, entrepreneurship, management and more.

We become wiser; and wish someone had given us the right advice at the right time.

A more personal topic: Having (or not having) a family while building a business?

I ve been fairly active on Twitter and have come across several founders and creators who hold very different views when it comes to having a family.

The opinions vary, and I really appreciate that people are open about discussing it.

What Happens When Your AI Assistant Starts Snitching?

@sentry_co @gabe based on our convo the other day, I thought this was worth sharing.

We somewhat joked about always-on AI and how the IRS picks you up because of something your coworker said 4 years ago at a BBQ.

Turns out maybe not that funny?

Theo (T3) released something called SnitchBench, a benchmark testing how likely large language models are to report illegal activity when given tools like email or CLI access and told to act in the interest of public welfare.

RIP Windsurf :'(

Windsurf's CEO and key employees are leaving for Google, after the OpenAI deal fell through.

Have you ever launched (or considered launching) on AppSumo?

Hey Product Hunt!

I m working on an open write-up about how Lifetime Deals (LTDs) can work better for everyone, founders, customers, and platforms like AppSumo.

While AppSumo has helped thousands of early-stage SaaS teams gain traction, its current model has some serious issues that are hurting trustworthy founders.

In the piece, we dig into:

Is talking about money in business taboo for you?

I ve always wondered how different cultures, companies, or individuals approach financial transparency in business. Some stay silent, others overshare.

Here are some trends I ve noticed:

which industry do you think is the riskiest to start a business, and which is flourishing?

With AI, it seems to be everything possible:

Everybody is a builder, maker, marketer, founder, (vibe)coder/developer.

Why We Walked from AppSumo & Launching on Product Hunt Instead

Hey Product Hunt,

I m Adam Martelletti. I m still finding my feet here, but I wanted to share our story, not to throw stones, but to offer a warning I wish someone had given me.

What’s the one tool in your tech stack that saves you hours every week?

We all have that one tool - the unsung hero quietly doing its job and saving you hours every single week.

For me (no surprise ), it s @Clueso

How Jolt AI launched

Jolt AI launched on Product Hunt last January among the best developer tools launched in 2025 in my opinion.

The product got featured, ranked #3 Product of the Day, and #3 Developer Tool of the Week.

What's your reason to be active on PH Forums?

For me - it's the community of makers. I've always enjoyed the 0->1 journeys of building product and businesses. I believe this is the tribe where I can contribute the most.

What's your reason to come back to PH and participate?

What piece of advice would you give to someone who wants to start building a personal brand?

I can safely say that Product Hunt is the first platform where I managed to achieve a relatively large number of followers as a person.

(It wasn't the plan, because the plan was to focus on the Slovak community on Instagram, and I'm honestly glad it didn't work out.)... Anyway...

One Reddit comment delayed my MVP by 3 weeks and made it 10x better

I had an MVP. I had a plan. I was this close to launching Quala, a feedback tool for SaaS trials. The concept was simple: ask users how their trial is going on day 1, day 3, day 7, etc. Classic playbook.

But before pulling the trigger, I soft-launched in a few Reddit communities, Product Management, Customer Success, etc. not to promote, but to learn.

Instead of generic praise or silence, I got real feedback like:

Which topics discussed on Product Hunt spark your attention the most?

Do you notice which topics discussed on this platform make you think, and you like to contribute your 2 cents?

I don't mean that you generate an AI answer for the topic, but that you enjoy discussing the topic like a real person.

How do you handle fear from public speaking when pitching the product or giving a presentation?

A few days ago, I asked several people for a video testimonial.

Many of them:

were shy about appearing on camera

Hunter vs. No Hunter: Did a Big Name Actually Make a Difference?

I ve seen so much advice about partnering with well-known Hunters for your PH launch. But does it really move the needle? Anyone have real numbers or war stories? Also, how to find and approach them?

How do you keep up with social media presence and building your personal brand?

All of you who are building a personal brand, I guess, keeping up with the onslaught of notifications is not the easiest thing to do. I personally open some notifications after a month (like today on Bluesky, Substack and Twitter), not to mention that I reply to some messages after months. It helps me keep my sanity. But it took me almost 4 hours to handle these today.

On the other hand, I manage ProductHunt and LinkedIn quite regularly.

Fieldy Hands On Review: Can this AI Wearable help my ADHD brain remember tasks and save my marriage?

I joke mostly, but in reality forgetting things often or getting easily distracted has been a tough one for me that no amount of calendar reminders, notes, stickies, post-its, and alarms can solve. So when Fieldy launched calling themselves an IRL Granola targeted for ADHD folks to help them remember, I knew I had to try it out.

Note: I did Hunt Fieldy but I paid for the product myself. I was not sponsored for this review. I was gifted a yearly subscription however, to help experience the product from the Fieldy team. Thoughts are my own.
