While most people would agree that Bill Gates is a successful person, he may not be considered so by some if he loses a game of table tennis to his nephew. So what's the difference between him and someone else? It's all in how we define success. For most people, success is defined by what society perceives as success but what is actually "setting up a goal and doing it." You want something, and you get it that's a success! It can be as simple as wanting to finish reading a book today, and if you do it, there's your success. So crucial to success is setting the right goal for yourself and working towards it alone. I think that success is a lot like a game of ping pong. First, you have to set up the table the goal that you want to achieve. Then, you need to start playing the game itself. What I didn't realize until later is that there's so much work involved in building a business and so many things that can go wrong. I'm grateful for my experience now, but if I could go back and tell myself something about starting a company, it would be: "Don't expect things to go smoothly. And if you had to pivot... PIVOT!"
