Build and own your software factory

@Mastra launched an open-source, configurable software factory last week. Ranked #1 Product of the Day and #1 Product of the Week, the community loved it.

To keep the conversation going, @bookercodes and @suhdudeitsabhi are hosting a workshop this Thursday, September 17, at 4 PM UTC / 9 AM PST.

Why I made Nanddo a one-time purchase instead of a subscription

One thing I kept going back and forth on while building Nanddo: should the paid version be a subscription or a one-time purchase?

A subscription tracker that's itself a recurring charge felt backwards to me, so I went with a one-time $17 for Nanddo Pro instead. But I know that trade-off means no recurring revenue, which most SaaS advice tells you to avoid.

Curious how other makers here have thought about this especially for tools in the personal finance / productivity space. Did anyone else choose one-time pricing and regret it, or not regret it?

(If you want to see what I ended up building: nanddo.com Pro is at nanddo.gumroad.com/l/nanddo-pro)

Do you think AI should be regulated by governments, or should the market regulate it instead?

When I was reading TechCrunch today, I came across Jensen Huang s (NVIDIA CEO) view that AI safety should be handled by companies through engineering and market pressure, rather than through new regulation.

In my opinion, the power of consumers and the public is sometimes simply not strong enough to counterbalance large technology companies. That s why I believe governments sometimes need to step in and establish rules and regulations.
