Why I made Nanddo a one-time purchase instead of a subscription

by

One thing I kept going back and forth on while building Nanddo: should the paid version be a subscription or a one-time purchase?

A subscription tracker that's itself a recurring charge felt backwards to me, so I went with a one-time $17 for Nanddo Pro instead. But I know that trade-off means no recurring revenue, which most SaaS advice tells you to avoid.

Curious how other makers here have thought about this — especially for tools in the personal finance / productivity space. Did anyone else choose one-time pricing and regret it, or not regret it?
