What do you think? …

Andy Cook
How does this account for multiple people sleeping in the same bed?
Jack Smith
I just got one brand new off eBay for <$99. It's pretty cool. Tracks your heart rate and certainly seems to do a better job of knowing when I'm asleep or not than all my other devices, which judge based on accelerometer etc.

Sounds like a slightly fancier/hardware version of the Sleep Cycle app: http://www.sleepcycle.com/

I've used the sleep cycle app, but I have the same question as @AndyGCook -- this is broken when multiple people sleep in the same bed right?
John Perkins
i've found the sleep cycle app to be less than optimal, simply because i have to put my phone under my sheet, which often causes the charger to come unplugged during the night, so this is very interesting to me. also sounds like it could be a lot more accurate and detailed than sleep cycle. still, same question as @AndyGCook and @nowmiles. it would be cool to get the founder on here for a little ama :)

I never tried sleep cycle and really wouldn't want to. As I say, I am really not intruiged by solutions just utilising the accelerometer as that has such a low chance of telling if I'm asleep or just laying still, still awake. Re multiple people, it only covers half the bed and has faq about multiple people, works fine tracking only one of the two people though.
