Hey Product Hunt 👋 We, Monika & Dheeraj, are excited to launch Zealth ( https://zealth-ai.com ) on product hunt today! Thanks @mwseibel for hunting us. 🤗 There are only 1800 oncologists for 1.3 billion people in India. Patients often travel 100 miles waiting for hours to get 5 minutes with their oncologists. Once the patient leaves the hospital, they have no easy means to manage their disease. They don’t know which symptom is expected and which is not; when to consult the doctor and so on. In most cases, by the time they go back to their doctor, it's already too late. We personally lost a close family member due to poor management of health conditions at home post discharge. When we reached the hospital, the doctor only said one thing - “We could have saved your aunt if you would have visited us earlier” and that was the eye opener. We realised the need of using technology to empower patients with the right information at the right time and keep them connected with their doctor in real time for any potential emergencies. That's when we decided to build Zealth. Zealth is building a software to help hospitals provide continuous round the clock monitoring to their patients once they leave the hospital and alert them if the patient is at high risk. Using Zealth’s machine learning software, patients receive personalised feedback and instructions for mild symptoms to be in more control of their disease. During the pilot of Zealth’s software for cancer patients - in one case, the patient was undergoing active chemotherapy. After being discharged, on the third day, the patient reported a temperature of 100.7°F with 3 times vomiting. Zealth’s software flagged it as high risk - the careteam asked the patient to get tested and discovered that it was a potential sepsis at an early stage. Had there been a delay of 2-3 additional days - it could have been life-threatening. Our vision is to empower patients, their caregivers and the clinicians with real world health data science, because every cancer patient deserves the best care. We would love to hear your thoughts & feedback on the above. If you know any cancer patient or any oncologist, we would love to talk to them. With love 💕 Dheeraj Mundhra.
