I realised how important videos are in search results.
This and the previous week, we reached out to many creators for custom videos on various topics that include the client's product. (I gained some overview about prices for such a video and need to say that if things go well, it can be a good investment in the long term).
Reviewers see YouTube as a daily, go-to service for learning, entertainment, music, tutorials, and sharing creative work, with repeated praise for its huge range of content, strong search, useful playlists, and generally effective recommendations. The main complaint is easy to spot: ads feel too frequent and pushy, and some also dislike Premium pricing. A few mention uneven content quality, occasional glitches, and weak mobile portrait UX. From makers of ZapDigits, Snaply, and ClipLedger, YouTube also gets credit for a solid API and practical creator-data use cases.
Everyone knows you can literally find anything on YouTube. The recommendation algorithm, and overall quality is top-notch. I personally really like using it because I prefer watching video content rather than just audio.
What needs improvement
ads (3)
The ads have become so much more frequent though and it really annoys me at times. The frequency of ads is different based on your device as well. I think it's to push people for YT premium but sometimes it just puts me off.
I use YouTube every day, and I love the vast variety of content available—from tutorials to entertainment, there’s something for everyone. The recommendation algorithm usually helps me discover great videos. However, ads can be intrusive, and sometimes the quality of content varies a lot. Overall, it’s an amazing platform for learning and entertainment but could improve the user experience by reducing interruptions.
