This app was originally created for all the “Youtube DJs” taking care of the music at small parties. They switch between a dozen Youtube tabs and make smooth transitions between songs.
On Youtube DJ, you can search for songs, acapellas and instrumentals on Youtube, control the speed of the tracks, make loops, slow down the vinyl by clicking on it and even scratch with your keyboard. Hundreds of mashups already have been created by the community.
There are over 1 billion videos on Youtube, 300k more every day. How awesome is it to be able to create new music from all this content ?
Beyond that, we want to allow young people, who think mixing is complicated and expensive, to be able to have a free and fun experience of DJing. They can then decide if they like it and want to invest in professional material to become a real life DJ.

This is wicked! I sometime find myself using YouTube as a music player (despite the fact I pay for Spotify and Pandora). I'm going to have fun with this.
