Oh hello, I made this app called Yeti and it lets you capture notes, sketches, audio, photos, and videos right to your iCloud Drive. Here's how it works:
@tylerswartz Thanks for checking it out, Tyler! I wanted one app with super easy access that I could trust to quickly capture whatever thought or idea I had in my head. Kind of the digital equivalent of a Post-it note, but with lots of different media types. I often have ideas for song melodies and lyrics but jumping between different apps or even overthinking what app to capture those ideas with gets annoying fast and kills the spontaneity. So I made Yeti.
The important differentiator to me is that everything you capture in Yeti is saved as flat files in common formats (e.g. .txt, .jpg, .mov, .m4a). Other apps force you into their proprietary file format, and getting your content out can be a real pain. The other awesome benefit of flat common files is that it's really easy to pull your captured media into the rest of your workflow when you're ready for it. Start a logo design sketch in Yeti when you have a great idea waiting in line at the grocery store, then finish it when you're back at your Mac in Illustrator.
