Hi Product Hunt, I'm Arun, the maker of xposed.
I built xposed because I was tired of file transfer tools that fail. LocalSend and similar apps work over the local network, and in my experience they break often. My father runs a photography studio, and I saw how wedding photos are shared today: slow uploads to Google Drive. I wanted something simpler. Right-click a file, get a link and a QR code, done.
How it works:
Right-click a file and choose "Share with xposed".
You get a private HTTPS link and a QR code.
The recipient downloads straight from your computer, through our relay. We do not store the file.
Controls:
6-digit PIN (5 wrong tries lock the share for 30 seconds)
Download limit
Download log, exportable as CSV
Interrupted downloads resume where they stopped
Platforms:
macOS (Finder)
Windows 10 and 11 (File Explorer)
Linux (GNOME Files)
A CLI is also available
Limits you should know about:
Your computer must stay on while the share is open.
A free account is required (GitHub or Google sign-in).
Free: 5 GB files, 24-hour links. Pro ($6/month): 10 GB files, links up to 7 days.
The Windows installer is not code-signed yet. Windows will show a warning.
What is next: sharing a whole folder, and streaming a folder, so photographers can send a full shoot.
I built this as a side project next to my full-time job. It launched this week, so it is early. I would like your honest feedback:
Try it with a large file and tell me your real transfer speed.
Tell me what would make you use it instead of your current method.
