What do you think? …

Scar Qin

Finally, Gantt without leaving the map. This might replace my “mind map → Notion → ClickUp” shuffle. Will test timelines with a side project this weekend.

Jerry Zhang

@scar_qin Thanks, Scar! That’s exactly what we hoped for — keeping the flow without jumping between tools 🙌 Would love to hear how it feels once you test it with your side project. Any specific use case you’re planning to try it on?

Scar Qin

@hacksman Thanks! I’ll probably use it to plan my weekend side project — excited to try it out!

Peter Xie

Been using xmind for the past 5 years in my work and (surprisingly) in my daily life, so excited to see this update and the opportunity to try the beta version. Now the structured ideas nodes can turn into tasks without leaving the app. Love the exporting to calendar feature as well. connections Congrats on the launch!

Jerry Zhang

@thomaslee33 5 years — that’s awesome! 🙌
Love hearing how you use Xmind both for work and daily life.

You might enjoy the new Project features — they build right on top of tasks and timeline, so you can keep everything in one place.

Curious — do you usually plan your projects entirely in Xmind, or pair it with other tools?

Peter Xie

@hacksmanYes I do most of my planning in Xmind, for task management, I'll have to move to other tools such as notion. Glad to see the potential of staying in one place

Abdul Rehman

This is exactly the missing bridge between planning and doing. Super update!

Jerry Zhang

@abod_rehman Thanks a lot, Abdul! Love hearing that. How do you usually go from planning to doing in your setup?

Thibault Vanhoutte

Great ideas and smart move!

  • Do you plan to get a simple dashboard with all tasks listing from all documents of space? This would make Xmind a great brainstorming to planning tool.
No need for complex, just to see all tasks grouped by documents, when they need to be done and who make it. Craft Docs make this.

  • Does outliner mode will be available online? Actually it seems limited to local maps but It's a great tool for using Xmind like any simple note tool before going into the mindmapping.

    thanks and keep going!

Jerry Zhang

@thibault_vanhoutte Haha, you might just be predicting the future here 👀

The dashboard idea is… let’s say, under construction

This is yet another reason why Xmind is the superior choice for mind mapping.

Make Xmind great again, again and again...

Onwards and upwards with Xmind!

I’ve planned projects with Xmind for years, and v26 finally connects “from mind map to execution” in a seamless way. Turning nodes into tasks with priority/progress and tracking via Timeline/Gantt cuts the friction of jumping across tools. Spaces is genuinely useful too—it keeps work tidy by organizing across teams/topics. Excited to see the template ecosystem and deeper collaboration refinements next; congrats to the team on the launch! @hacksman
