I built this after getting daily bot followers on X. They are easy to identify, but removing them is a chore. This Chrome extension aims to make removal of these bots much easier.
I believe these bot networks are bad for the social graph, and are probably being used to influence content distribution on the "For You" feed.

A few days ago such tool was proposed to be invented on reddit :-)

Love it.
Maybe add some gamification that users can share the profiles of the removed spam followers which X did not (want to?) find.
Or a followerspam competition "who finds the one who follows most" ...
@to_p Thanks for the reddit recommendation, I'll go check it out! haha gamification can be a nice twist, I can imagine a funny "leaderboard" with most removed profiles at the top. Honestly dont know what's keeping X from removing these themselves, they're so easy to spot.
@jonnymiles It's a massive problem on X! It feels "victimless" but i suspect these botnets are behind a lot of misinformation and spam distribution. Hope it helps!
This is pretty useful. I have the same issue with bots 😅
Note that it does not work with languages where a dot is used as a thousand separator: It is then parsed as a comma :)
