writeGPT web extension is truly impressive! I love the way it suggests and completes my sentences with such accuracy and coherence. @profiroiu_ioan thank you for developing such a useful tool, will definitely make it work!
Cool concept, but I played around with it a bit and found it to be underwhelming:
* I couldn't figure out how to open it up when I was in gmail. CMD + E wouldn't trigger it. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?
* The second time I tried to have it summarize an article I got an error: "You have reach your limit of 10 request / hour. Please try again later!" -- but I hadn't used it 10 times.
Good luck with the launch and improving the product!
@tylerswartz I am really sorry for the inconvenience.
At first, it somehow depends on the browser you're using, and it's important to refresh the website after downloading the extension. Also, there is some website blocking access of our tool: Google docs, and Chrome extensions marketplace, but that's all.
If the problem persists, can I recommend you try to select content and activate our extension with a right click, but on Monday, there will be an update that will hopefully solve this.
For the "you have reach limit of 10" this is may be due to the cache in your browser of our extension, yesterday I changed the limit to 100 if you refresh the browser with cmd+shift+r in mac it should work, i will also look after the cache.
And overall, things will work better on Monday when we launch the new updated :)
Thanks again for the support & I'd love to stay connected.

- User control: OpenAI allows users to control their data by giving them access to their information and the ability to delete it if they choose.
- Data security: OpenAI uses industry-standard security measures, such as encryption and secure data storage, to protect user data from unauthorized access, misuse, and loss.
- Privacy by design: OpenAI incorporates privacy considerations into the design and development of its services, ensuring that privacy is built into the core of its products.
- Compliance with privacy laws: OpenAI regularly reviews its privacy practices and makes changes as necessary to comply with relevant privacy laws, such as the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
These measures help ensure that user data is protected and privacy is respected, allowing OpenAI to provide its services in a responsible and trustworthy manner.
Report
Looks great! But the extension is asking permission to "Read and change all your data on all websites" - since it looks like you need to copy & paste content into the tool anyway, or at minimum interact with text you select, why is there a need to read (and more so change) data from all websites?
