Hi Product Hunt! I’m Konstantin, the independent maker behind Workframe. The idea started during a professional development course on mentoring. We created individual development plans for one another, and mine focused on productivity and staying with the task at hand. That exercise made me look closely at the weak points in my own workflow. Instead of searching for the perfect system, I started building the app I wanted to use myself. I’m not a fan of productivity tools that require their own rituals: moving tasks through workflows, adding comments, logging time, reconciling plans, and writing a report about yesterday. I wanted something quieter — a tool that saves time instead of becoming another system to maintain. One of the biggest turns in Workframe’s development was moving away from an Outlook-style schedule. It looked familiar, but it recreated the planning overhead I was trying to avoid. I replaced it with a deliberately small Today set. Meetings stay in the calendar; Workframe helps you decide what to work on between them. Workframe now connects four parts of the day: - capture tasks without leaving the menu bar; - choose a short Today list, Main Focus, and Frog Task; - start a focus session with or without a task; - return to Work Journal when you need to remember what actually moved forward. The first public release is completely free. Workframe stores its data locally on your Mac and has no account, cloud sync, analytics, ads, or tracking. I’d especially love your feedback on two things: does the workflow feel intuitive without much explanation, and what do you think of the copy-ready Work Journal report? I can’t be the only person who reaches a morning stand-up after a day full of calls and has to reconstruct what actually got done.
