👋 Hi Product Hunt!

We built Wordin because every AI writing tool we tried broke our flow. Most apps rewrote the entire draft when you asked for a small tweak, and none truly understood the document already on screen. We love how Cursor lives inside VS Code for coders, so we asked: what would a Cursor-style agent look like for prose?

What we ship:

1. Live context. Every keystroke is instantly embedded, so the agent sees the exact paragraph you are in and writes the next one without starting from scratch.

2. Highlight and patch. Select any passage and simply tell Wordin in natural language what you want changed, such as make this tighter or brighten the tone, and it drops the fix right in place with no copy paste or formatting drama.

3. Outline timeline. An always updated panel lists every heading and subheading so you can jump anywhere and keep the structure in view while you write.

The beta let's you try it for free with up to 25000 token credits! Please share questions, edge cases, or feature dreams!

@jacob_larsson1 if you want Cursor style edits you can try our cursor style fast apply model! lmk if you want some credits to test with, love this use case

Tim Chen

love the Cursor-style approach for prose. Writing is such a fluid process, and it’s great to see a tool that respects the structure and the writer’s flow instead of bulldozing it.

Jacob Larsson
@timchengb exactly, Tim! That’s exactly what we were aiming for. A clean, intuitive interface that respects the writer’s flow and keeps the process effortless.
Cruise Chen

Live context is genius—so fed up with AI tools forgetting what I just wrote, fr. This is gonna make editing flow way smoother, tbh. Nice work y’all!

Jacob Larsson
@cruise_chen appreciate it, Cruise! That’s exactly the problem we wanted to solve; keeping the flow without losing track or context. Glad it’s hitting the mark for you!

The number of times that I have rewritten different versions of the same topic for sales prospecting is one too many. This will be handy to have for versioning but also to keep all the variations of my writing in one place.

Joey Judd

No way, finally an AI that doesn’t forget what it wrote three paragraphs ago! This could save me hours editing my longer blog posts—does it handle chapters too?

Jacob Larsson

@joey_zhu_seopage_ai Hey Joey! We're currently implementing chapter handling!

Anh Nguyen

This is so smart. Most AI writing tools totally wreck my draft flow, but the “highlight and patch” thing here is exactly what I’ve been wishing for. Feels like it’ll actually work with me instead of starting from scratch every time. Can’t wait to try it.

Sarrah

This looks interesting. I’ve used lex.page before and see some similarities. How would you describe your value proposition compared to Lex?

Jacob Larsson

@sarrah Hi Sarrah! As you write in the editor Wordin will embed your document, meaning that even if you have a very large document you will get direct access to information in the document. Say that you want to know how long ago it was since a specific character was introduced in the text; since the document is embedded and chunked you would get quick and precise answers on that. Also Wordin will write directly into the document, and we're currently implementing so that it can write from any part of the text you specify. Say you want it to continue writing under a specific section, then it would be able to write from there. Also the cursor interface makes the writing flow much better and it's easy to revert changes.

Jacob Larsson

@sarrah If there's anything you would like to see implemented then please share :)
