I looked at the usual suspects Spotify for Artists, SoundCloud, DistroKid, and Audiomack. Spotify gives you distribution reach but zero creator-listener relationship; you're essentially renting shelf space. SoundCloud has the good community feel but the monetization story is weak and discovery is almost random. DistroKid is great for distribution but it's a middleman, not a platform. Audiomack is solid for hip-hop and Afrobeats but feels niche and limited on the creator tools side. WillsRecord is the only one I found that thinks holistically creation, distribution, streaming, and fan monetization in one ecosystem. That's a very different product category. Have you tried their mobile app also? That makes the experience more enjoyable.
