Here is how we handle global match spikes and coordinated spam in real time:
Election-Grade Protection: We don't use heavy sign-ups or clunky CAPTCHAs that ruin the live match experience. Instead, our backend runs a lightweight, passive device-fingerprinting and network-validation protocol to ensure a strict one-vote-per-person limit. Bot farms are flagged and dropped instantly.
Edge Rate-Limiting: If someone tries to spam our WebSocket endpoints during a trending moment, our network edge layer blocks their connection immediately.
High-Speed Data Pipelines: To handle millions of fans voting simultaneously without crashing, we process votes through an in-memory Redis cluster. Instead of sending millions of individual updates to your screen, our server batches the votes at the millisecond layer and broadcasts a single, compressed data frame to all connected clients.
