Most places to write hand you a theme picker, a follower count, a feed. Whisty removes all of it. You get one page — yourname.whisty.org — for short thoughts and photos. Nothing to configure: the design is fixed, and your first line already looks right. What sets it apart is what will never exist: no likes, followers, view counts, feeds, algorithms, notifications. Not missing features — the charter rules them out for good. Public, so a passerby might read it. You will never be told.

I'm Yuto, an indie developer from Japan.
I left Twitter a while ago. The pile-ons, the arguing, the constant low-grade
anger — I was done. But something unexpected happened after I left: I still had
things I wanted to say. Small things. Too small for a blog post, too dear to just
delete.
I had nowhere to put them. So I built Whisty.
What it is

What it deliberately doesn't have
- No likes, stars, or reactions
- No followers, no following
- No view counts
- No feed, no algorithm, no recommendations — you will never see anyone else's
post here
- No themes or settings. The design is fixed, and one line already looks right
The absence is the product. I can't bolt reactions on later without destroying
the thing itself, so I wrote it into the project's charter: these will never be
built. Not "not yet" — never.
Your page is public, so a passerby might read it, and it might even help someone.
But no number will ever tell you whether they did. That turned out to be the part
that changed how I write.
It's free, there are no ads, and there is nothing to buy. This is a garden, not a
business.
