@sabrina_atienza You will still need to inform the participants that you are using Whipnote (just as you would if you were recording the conversation), isn't it? This is not like a "hidden microphone" tool.

@ravsydney Hey Ravi - good question, call recording laws depend on your country. If you're in the US, it also depends on your state. Good high-level info here: https://support.outreach.io/hc/e... Technically, we don't have to record calls since our speech rec engine works in real-time. Every other product in the market requires call recording in order to perform transcription. @kkkosariya Hey Kamal! Interesting question. This is not a pivot. Qurious is the parent company for our innovative, proprietary real-time speech recognition. Whipnote is our new product. We've taken everything we learned about speech recognition for sales conversations (Qurious) and made it work for ALL conversations that are core to businesses (Whipnote) - sales, support, market research, interviews, internal team meetings, and everything in between 👍 A lot of work was involved to expand our underlying language and acoustic models, and yes, many of our customers today are sales professionals (account executives, sales development reps, sales trainers, etc.), who want a detailed record of what their customers said in order to: update their CRM, revise contract proposals, write follow-up emails, conduct win/loss analysis, better understand objections, and recall customer pain points. Starting in one vertical (sales - Qurious) was natural because it enabled us to get good with a particular vocabulary as a "beach head" and expand from there (many more verticals - Whipnote). We still have a long way to go in terms of expanding our vocabulary to cover all types of conversations... for example, we're not going to work very well during calls with a lot of healthcare-specific terminology. I have always hated to take notes during calls. Half the time, I am busy taking a note and miss the next few sentences on a call. This makes life so much easier and the team behind it is really kickass.

This is awesome! I've been trying to find a tool like this for some time and although there are some that exist, they never live up to the hype. Luckily, this tool does. I'm working on rolling this out to my organization now. Very excited :)

@dillon_carter thank you, really appreciate that! It's a tough space technology-wise because the off-the-shelf speech recognition APIs are not accurate enough nor fast enough. Also, the off-the-shelf summarization APIs are tailored for news articles, not actual human conversations. Which means it's comparatively easy to build up hype but very hard to build product. Even with our tech today, it's far from perfect. The transcription accuracy will be unreliable if there's a lot of background noise or poor audio quality or too many people talking over each other. We're working on it though 🛠 one step at a time
