Hey Product Hunt 👋 We're Sarah and Aulia, co-founders of Whereabouts. Whereabouts is a new app for hosting and discovering IRL (in-real-life) events - built for the creative community and currently surfacing art and cultural events around town. We're passionate about building community and alleviating the loneliness epidemic through the arts.
After hosting 100+ events — dinners, pop-ups, exhibitions — we stitched together at least five apps for each one: one to plan, one to promote, Venmo to collect money, a spreadsheet for the guest list, and Instagram for everything else. We paid at least 10% in fees, waited a week to see the money, and every time we switched tools, our reputation as a host reset to zero.
So Aulia (who comes from fintech) and I built the thing we wished existed.
