@andrew_sibert Thanks for the honest feedback! Well, the idea is to use it when you’re not in your own city and you want to discover venues, like when doing tourism on the fly. GMaps needs you to search manually, here we generate a walk from A to A with monuments inside according to your free time. Between two meetings for instance, it can be cool to discover surroundings

Very interesting idea (and I'm so pleased to see it on Android at the start!) but I tried it (near my home, small city) and it generated a walk with four monuments. One was just an address, that's actually nowhere near the pin (10+ blocks away); one was (name of city) Park, pinned in the middle of an apartment complex that's about a block away from the nearest park (which has a name); and two were a church. They were actually pinned on the church, but why two of them? Two questions - where do you get your lists of monuments? And is there any way to do corrections? I couldn't see a menu or a way of giving feedback at all (aside from rating it in the Play Store, of course).

For now, we don't have any specific form to receive feedback and we prioritize mail at hello@walk.cafe :) First, monuments are from multiple providers on the Internet. We act as a search engine for monuments, we are currently looking on a way to exclude church but keep cathedrals and buildings with historical background. We are going to add Tags selection in a near-future update. Next, about corrections, we also found that some monuments were misplaced but mainly abroad large cities (I live in Paris now but I started making the app a while ago and I was living in the countryside, this issue happened there). Hope I have answered your questions, feel free to send us a mail :)

I would like to share it with friends, tell my friends that in half an hour, or one hour I'll go to this place if they want to meet me there. Would it be possible one day ?

Pros:

I like the idea we can use it wherever we are. It's good to have an ap that helps you to visit the area with the time you have

Cons:

It would great to chose in a list what kind of place you want to see in a walk.

@satwaya if you pointed out surroundings, etc.! just kind of annoying to whip out my phone everywhere. Btw seeing as you just launched if you want more feedback I have a market research service where for $12 you can ask 100 people a question then follow-up based on how they answered and even interview them! https://scoops.io/ You could ask e.g. "How often do you walk and wish that where you were walking you could get more information about the surrounding landmarks?" and then see how frequent/severe the problem is. All this journey started back in 2017 during the Product Hunt Global Hackathon. We all have free time while it's ☀️ sunny out there and we thought it would be cool to have an app allowing us to generate a walk so that we don't waste time searching where we should go by.
