Hi Product Hunt,
We built Voysee for travelers who love wandering, but still want to understand what they are seeing.
Voysee turns city walks into immersive, location-based audio stories. Open the app near a landmark or neighborhood, put on headphones, and listen to the hidden histories, cultural details, and local narratives around you.
It is for people who pause at old plaques, look up at buildings, take the side street, and wonder what happened here before.
Today we would love your feedback on:
- Does the "pocket storyteller" idea make sense?
- Which cities or landmarks should we prioritize next?
- What would make you use this while traveling?
Right now we testing it in England and Cyprus. More countries comming soon!

Thanks for checking it out.

Does Voysee work fully offline once I download a city's audio stories, or do I need cell service the whole time to keep the GPS-triggered narration going?

For offline playback, you won’t need cell service once a guide is downloaded—the audio is stored on your phone. Location currently helps surface nearby stories rather than automatically starting narration, and discovering or unlocking new stories still requires a connection. Download the guides you want before heading out, then listen from Downloads.

The location-triggered audio cues feel really polished, no awkward fumbling to hit play when you round a corner. Whoever designed the timing of those moments clearly walked a lot of test routes.

Thanks, Salih. A lot of care went into making nearby stories surface at useful moments without feeling intrusive. It means a lot that the experience felt polished.

Love how the audio fades naturally as you walk past each spot, it feels like the city itself is narrating instead of some app talking at you. The location-triggered timing is really well done.

“The city itself is narrating” is such a beautiful way to describe what we’re aiming for. We want nearby stories to feel like part of the place while leaving the listener in control. Thanks, İrem.

Love how it weaves location-aware audio right into the walking flow without ever pulling you out of the moment.

Thanks, Fırat. Keeping people present in the walk—not staring at another screen—was one of our main goals. We’re glad that feeling came through.
