Review of Vocly
Good app for learning vocab.
I tried German and Japanese.
All good when it comes to German but not ideal for Japanese, because:
· the kanji are too small so it's hard to tell the difference between similar ones
· the romaji punctuation often doesn't match the kana (probably a bug?)
General things that could be improved:
· larger icons (some are hard to interpret because they're hard to see clearly)
· when learning phrases or compound words, it would be great if it explained what each part means. Memorizing phrases, even small ones, without understanding them is pointless.

Review of Vocly
Great for learning vocab, many different languages available. Smooth transitions and animations makes it feel more like a game, and makes learning vocab fun! Covers pronunciation, written and audio, and symbols represent every word. Obviously a lot of work in this app!
Several topics available for free, but should be mentioned that additional vocab requires an in app purchase (though there is a free trial for a week), though price looks fairly reasonable, for the huge amount of content in this app.

I've only tried a few lessons on this app and I love it so far! Especially love that it shows the stroke order, and an example of a word that uses the letter.
I have two minor complaints though:
The first is that I really really wish there was some way to see the written translation of the example words, instead of just having a picture.
For instance: when learning to write Hindi, there's the word "akshar" given as example for the letter "a". There's a picture next to the word that could be interpreted as meaning "translation", or "transcription", or "language", and I don't know which it's supposed to be.
The second complaint isn't very important, just that I wish it was written somewhere which tone class the different Thai consonants belong to.
Overall great app, very grateful it exists!

Stroke-by-stroke is a fantastic feature, thank you for including that. The range of languages is pretty good too.
