I love that Visily makes it incredibly easy for anyone on our team to contribute to the design process. Product managers can better communicate with our design team, and our marketing team loves how they can quickly create wireframes and prototypes. Also, what they're doing with AI is incredible! I've been able to take web designs as inspiration and create prototypes in seconds. Their interface is intuitive, so making edits to the generated prototypes is approachable, even as a non-designer. This has allowed me to communicate ideas with my team much faster, which means we get product updates to market faster than ever before!

I am currently putting together a course on AI and design for LinkedIn Learning (follow me at https://linkedin.com/in/drewfalkman to hear about it when I release it). I am a long-time hunter and am very picky about what products I write reviews on. Visily is one of the products I will review, and HAD to include in my course. Why? Because: - there is an entire suite of AI tools baked in that include content generation, screenshot >> design, polish wireframes, sketch >> design, and theme generation (there are more in the works too!) - they work! I have used other products that don't work, but this one does. For example, the screenshot to design tool gives you two options: one that will be more broken into clean components, one that is more true to the actual design. - you can export your designs to not just PNGs and PDFs but to Figma. In my experience, having gone through dozens of these tools, Visily is one of the best to apply AI to generating design. Definitely recommend for designers looking to save time and menial work.

I saw their launch today, gave it a try and it blew my mind! Here’s my story: designers stopped granting me edit access to their Figma files a long time ago because I kept breaking their auto layout or whatever lol. But Figma comments alone didn’t cut it. That’s why I found myself using Google Slides more and more to communicate ideas and requirements to designers. Now Visily is just the tool I need!

It is fantastic because it bridges the gap between complex software ideas and visual architecture without requiring coding skills. The AI's ability to interpret Markdown prompts and structure highly accurate user interfaces instantly saves an immense amount of time during the initial product discovery phase.

I don't have any specific complaints about these points. I am satisfied with the current features because I have used only AI features.

Before I begin my critique, let me commend the Visily team for their commendable efforts in bringing this ambitious tool to the market. Nevertheless, I believe Visily serves as a prime example of attempting to tackle too many tasks simultaneously. Visily endeavors to be an all-in-one solution for the four major phases of the design process: brainstorming, wireframing, UI design, and prototyping. However, it falls short of excelling in any particular aspect. Even if it manages to excel in one area, there is no guarantee that industry giants like Figma and Miro won't introduce similar features in the future. The user interface of Visily becomes cluttered when trying to showcase its plethora of options and features. It bombards users with tutorials and videos in an attempt to be helpful. My advice to the Visily team would be to refrain from fixing what isn't broken. Most users already have experience with tools like Figma, so maintaining a UI and interaction style similar to established tools would be the epitome of intuitiveness, allowing users to navigate the platform effortlessly. Regarding Visily's AI-related features, they appear to be the app's only selling points. Regrettably, there is a lack of coherence in organizing and presenting these AI capabilities. It feels more like a tech demonstration of what the developers can achieve, rather than a well-thought-out package. To be fair, AI features such as screenshot-to-design and sketch-to-design work quite effectively. However, I fail to see the point of investing time in learning an entirely new tool when these features could simply be offered as plugins for Figma. Lastly, the tool's performance leaves much to be desired. In a simple test file, I encountered numerous hiccups and slowdowns, and the UI assets are not optimized for retina displays, among other issues. I can only imagine how much worse it could become when dealing with more complex files. In conclusion, Visily shows promise as a design tool, but it could potentially be improved by offering its key features as Figma plugins. This tool seems to suffer from an identity crisis as it tries to cater to everyone with its AI features and extensive template arsenal, which to some extent may work. However, for seasoned designers who have invested heavily in established tools, I question whether it's worth the effort.

What's great

I cannot even put in a prompt because the app freezes up and totally destroys my browser so I can only kill the browser and not the tab it is in.

What needs improvement

Make it stable. This was my first and most definately my last try of Visibly. I'll be looking for a better tool to guide my team mates into the principles of finite state machines.

I didn't. I just tried it and it crashed immediately. I tried it multiple times.

I have been using Visily from the beginning, and it is amazing. We create an multi-country payroll platform, and even our payroll business is able to create screens on 'how they expect the screen to be used'. This is very helpfull for me to 'see their mind'. Together we create then the version for development! And every developer has access to view the full picture of screens. Visily has been an asset for us as a startup from the very start! Keep it up guys and girls!

I’ve been using Visily for 2 years now. Visily is a fantastic design software that keeps getting better. I can’t believe it’s free 😅 Too bad most people still haven’t heard about it. Every time I showed someone Visily’s AI features, they got their socks knocked off. Congrats on the 2.0 launch and please continue the excellent work!

Visily offers a clean UI with a very extensive component library to kick-start a new design project. One thing I really like is how easily I can create screens with consistent styles without lifting a finger thanks to their presets and theme generators. My experience with Visily has been amazing. I am thoroughly impressed with the Visily product. Despite not being a designer, I was able to create high-fidelity designs effortlessly using this tool.
