This website videogamearena.org was made for fun and is a good website to find favorite games. But it is also a way to find games, find new favorite genres, platforms, and overall favorite types of games. It will be interesting to see which gaming platform does best. This site even pits retro games vs modern games and that data could be analyzed.
Thanks for checking out my project! I earned my web development certificate through a awesome school called "Devpoint Labs" in Utah during the covid years. I was one of those students that ended up not practicing coding after getting my certificate and gave up applying to tech jobs. I Ended up working full time and forgot about coding. I always wanted to make a website one day that my Father recommended. He always wanted a good fun Video Game Ranker! I found Replit and wondered if I could make the website with just my phone. It was very possible and it was possible to do two things while the AI coded for me... Take care of my family and get some gaming time in! I was able to send in a prompt in Replit and while it coded I was able to play games or play with my daughters. I ended up creating the site in one weekend. I have improved on it and the AI taught me about Google console, Google ad sense, and many other useful tools I did not know about. My plan is to hopefully get some money out of this website.
Downside: AI is very expensive, if you end up using AI make sure to use the "Plan" system.
This website was made with human prompts through the Replit AI mobile app. No human coding was applied, no PC was needed (PC was only used to verify if the website was working correctly)
