VeloRand generates random round-trip bike routes so you're never stuck riding the same loops. Pick a start point, distance, and bike type - get a route that brings you home. Don't like it? Tap Regenerate for a new one instantly. Flat or hilly routes, elevation profile, ride time estimate, GPX export, start from anywhere, built on OpenStreetMap. One-time purchase - no subscription, no ads, no account.
Hey Product Hunt!
I'm Patrick, the solo dev behind VeloRand.
The problem I kept running into: I know every road within 30 km of my house, and I still ended up riding the same three loops every week. Existing route planners are great once you already know where you want to go – but I wanted something that just decides for me.
VeloRand generates a random round-trip route based on a start point, a target distance, and your bike type. If you don't like the first suggestion, "Regenerate" gives you a different one instantly. Once you're happy, export it as GPX and load it onto your bike computer or navigation app of choice.
It's a one-time purchase on Google Play – no subscription, no ads, no account needed.
Still on my roadmap: surface preference (road/gravel/MTB), factoring in wind direction, multiple route suggestions at once, and Strava/Komoot integration.
Would love your feedback, especially from fellow cyclists – what would make this genuinely useful for your rides?

The hilly vs flat toggle is genuinely useful, kept me off a brutal climb I usually get suckered into. GPX export worked straight away, which is all I really care about.

@dursunlghazn Really glad to hear that! The hilly/flat toggle was actually one of the trickier bits to get right under the hood, so it's great to know it's saving people from those "oh no, not this hill again" moments 😄 And good to hear GPX export just worked — that was a hard requirement for me too, since half the point is getting the route onto your actual bike computer without any fuss. Thanks for trying it out!

How does it handle areas with limited OSM trail data, like rural or mountain regions where bike paths aren't well mapped?
