Veil hides distracting elements on any website — ads, popups, sidebars, newsletter modals, anything — with one click or a keyboard shortcut. Unlike ad blockers that rely on predefined filter lists, Veil lets you hide anything, on any site, on your own terms. Select an element, it's gone. Refresh, and it stays gone. Built for people who just want to read the web without the clutter.

Does it work well with sites that rebuild their DOM constantly, or do the hidden elements sneak back in after a few seconds?
@demet9cbk We watch for DOM changes for about 8 seconds after load/navigation and re-hide anything that pops back in during that window. After that we stop watching, so sites with very late re-injection (past 8s) could still slip through — haven't stress-tested that edge case yet, so let us know if you run into it!
Does it remember my selections across devices, or is the hiding stored only locally in the browser
@zelihadogruyer We've been thinking a lot about privacy, so as a priority, all data is stored locally in your browser's IndexedDB only.
