So this one stops at the primitives: tasks, projects, cycles. Kanban, backlog and timeline sit on top of those. That's the whole surface area. The two parts I actually use every day: GitHub sync, because keeping issues and PRs in step with tasks was the chore I kept doing by hand and kept forgetting. The REST API, with key auth. Anything the UI does you can do over the API, so it drops into scripts you already have. You can use the hosted version or run it on your own box. Same product either way.
