Hi all,
So i recently went on a journey to find a good program / app / website to begin tracking my massive gaming backlog and helping me stay organized. I could not find one that fit what i wanted so i decided to build my own so i don't have to keep track of my games in a notepad anymore. It started out as something small on a raspberry pi for myself and has since turned into a full blown app I'm just about ready to share. It has multiple lists to stay organized, import functions, social features, news feeds, deal watching and more. I'm super excited about this but wanted to get a note out there and ask what people are looking for in this space or what is missing from other platforms they have used to do the same.
Hey PH 👋
Vantage Point started because I have what feels like an endless backlog of unplayed games across Steam, Game Pass, and PSN, and zero idea what I actually wanted to play next.
Every tracker I tried felt either bloated and forum-heavy, or too bare (basically a spreadsheet with cover art). I wanted the middle: imports that actually work, a Discover feed that learns from what I FINISH (not what I bought), and a way to know when a wishlisted game hits its real all-time low, not a $5 markdown pretending to be a deal.
What's actually here:
- Six lists you control: Front Line (playing), Sightlines (upcoming, with release-day push), Chambered (locked in next), Watchlist (maybes), Out of Vision (the dump), and Archive (everything you've finished, with ratings and hours).
- Imports: Steam (full library + playtime), Xbox (gamerscore + games), PlayStation (your played games), and RetroAchievements (points + counts, softcore and hardcore).
- Discover: picks seeded from your highest-rated Archive games. Not a generic algorithm, your own taste.
- Recon: wishlist any game on PC, PS5, Xbox, or Switch. Get an alert when it lands within 5% of its all-time low, plus PS Plus discounts when they apply.
- Sector Intelligence: a 14-outlet news feed (Polygon, IGN, Push Square, Pure Xbox, Nintendo Life, Time Extension, and more). Pro adds curated YouTube creator coverage (Skill Up, ACG, Digital Foundry, Easy Allies).
- Scout Network: paste a friend's scout code and see their taste DNA radar against yours. "60% match with DW" is a real conversation starter. You can also plan expeditions (co-op sessions) with friends in a couple of taps.
- Oracle: an AI gaming advisor that gives hints instead of spoilers. Bring your own Gemini key, and it stays on your device, never our servers.
- Gauntlet: 110 challenges that turn your backlog into a meta-game (finish a 100-hour epic, clear three RPGs, archive a hidden gem you rate 4 stars). Completing them ranks up a profile tier.
Free tier handles the daily job. Pro is $1.99/mo or $17.99/year. No ads, ever, on either tier.
Available on both Android and iOS today.

Happy to answer anything: feature requests, "why this and not [X]," whatever. The Discord link is in the app, and the support email goes straight to my phone.
Vantage point has been really fun to use to track what games I have been playing and what games I want to play next. The app can also reccommend new games to check out based on waht you have played in the past. Its really nice when I want to find similar games to something I just beat but don't quite know what to look for. The app also has a feature to schedule time with your friends to play and vote on what game to play.
