Explore US demographics, housing affordability, election results, economy and health data on interactive county and census tract maps. Powered by ACS 5-Year, FHFA, and MIT election data.

I’ve been adding SEO-friendly ranking pages to USInsights, starting with housing affordability.
This one ranks every US state by price-to-income ratio — median home value divided by median household income. Lower means more affordable.
West Virginia comes out on top at 2.7×, followed by Iowa, Kansas, Indiana, Mississippi, and Ohio.

What I’m trying to build is a bridge between simple searchable pages and the full interactive map. You can land on a clear ranking, understand the metric, then open the map to explore the wider context.
Would love feedback on whether this format works — especially from anyone who uses data pages, maps, or local rankings for research.
