Customer discovery is always something I want/try to do, but the time and resources it demands can be hard to justify. Consistent user feedback is essential, but crafting the questions, scheduling and conducting the interviews, and translating feedback into action is time consuming. Quick surveys are easier but you miss nuanced discussions– which is usually where the best feedback comes from. I signed up for an early pilot with UserCue. I put in information about my company and feedback goals. From there it automatically created learning outcomes and non-leading questions. I sent out the link to our customers and in a day had over 100 responses. Basically saved me 50 hours of work doing the interviews myself. Not to mention the automated reporting insights UserCue has on their platform. So I also knew exactly what the feedback was and how to improve the current user experience. UserCue was the easiest and fastest way of learning about our users and taking action to create a better user experience.

UserCue is one of the best products in this category that I have used and shared with my network. Not many solo founders or busy leaders at larger startups have nor make the time to conduct the necessary customer discovery efforts to validate ideas or improve their existing offerings. Getting user feedback is an absolutely critical step in making user-friendly software - and finding that ever elusive (until it's not...) "product-market fit". However, the whole process of recruting users, coordinating and conducting interviews is a time consuming and challenging process. UserCue will be an invaluable tool to product managers and UX researchers everywhere.
