We made this product to freelancers like Hunter automate job hunting on UpWork and only have to use UpWork to apply for jobs - but no more prospecting. With UpScout, you can… 🔍 Filter jobs (just like UpWork) 🔔 Get a daily email with all relevant jobs posted in UpWork that day 🎉 Spend time on earning money, not prospecting for new jobs How it works: - Log into UpScout and set your filters. You can filter by job location (for example — all countries, US only, etc), type of job (hourly or fixed) and set specific budget parameters. - Add your “searches” so that UpScout will know what keywords to target - Add negative keywords to exclude certain skills you don't match for (for example -- no jobs that require Tailwind CSS if you don't work with it) - Sit back and receive a daily email with jobs that match your criteria Doesn’t UpWork do this already? UpWork lets you filter jobs but does not send daily emails with relevant jobs. It’s a glaring gap in their product. Currently, freelancers have to check UpWork to look for jobs. We hope that UpScout will save freelancers multiple hours per week by no longer needing to doom scroll for new jobs. A few use cases: - ACTIVE FREELANCER - You are actively looking for jobs on UpWork. Awesome, you are the best use case for leveraging UpScout to save time each day. - PASSIVE FREELANCER - You already are engaged in work but don’t have time to look for jobs. UpScout is great for you! Set your filters and check your email each day for our daily digest. Some example filters for you — set jobs to US (or your local country) and a high hourly rate or high fixed budget so you only get the most appealing jobs sent to your inbox. Don’t waste time scrolling through UpWork for these high value jobs. - AGENCY OWNERS - You own an agency and can provide many different services. UpScout will save you many hours of work! Your agency can likely help clients with dozens of different services and checking UpWork each day for each keyword saps up your team’s time. The daily email gives you all the jobs that match all your searches. If you have dozens of service offerings, this is a big time saver. We are currently providing this V1 for free! We want to get freelancers using our product and get feedback before adding a reasonable monthly subscription for new users. We have a few ideas on our roadmap: - AI proposals 🤖 - freelancer uploads their resume to UpScout and we use AI to generate a proposal that matches your qualifications on your resume with the needs outlined in the job description. We imagine this would save freelancers time with writing proposals by giving a solid first draft. - Slack notifications - WhatsApp notifications - Anything else? Would love to hear your feedback on where we should take UpScout I'd love to hear your feedback on the frequency of notifications. We have the capability of checking UpWork every minute and sending users notifications for each new job that matches. This is ideal if you need to apply to the job right away. However, this could mean that users could get notified hundreds of times a day (depending on how many searches they are tracking). This will easily clog up someone’s email. UpScout currently checks UpWork once a day and sends ONE email with all relevant jobs. This is great for reducing notification burnout but doesn’t help freelancers who want instant alerts. So I am wondering — Would you prefer instant alerts (with lots of notifications) or one email per day?
