How does the credit pricing actually work? Like, roughly how many credits does a typical 50-page PDF burn through, and is there a way to see the cost before you hit generate?
@bedriyeenyv1wb Thanks for asking, we don't charge by page or use a credit system.
You buy deck packs (one-off payment, no subscription). Every time you generate flashcards, it uses one deck from your pack. A 50-page PDF is still one deck, same as a 5-page one.
What does change by plan is how many flashcards you get per deck (e.g. up to 30 on Scholar plan), not how many PDF pages you upload.
The 5 / 10 / 20 limits on the pricing page are for photos of notes, not PDF pages.
We don’t show a cost preview on the upload screen yet, you can see how many decks you have left on your dashboard. Fair point though, I'd like to add that.
Would love to see a spaced repetition mode built in, where the system automatically schedules which flashcards to review based on how well you know them. Right now it sounds like the focus is on generating cards, but adding something like Anki's algorithm on top would make the studying part way more effective.
