Hey ProductHunt, Jo Builds here and I've just launched Unvent!
Unvent came from a personal ritual: typing the message I wanted to send, then spending five minutes converting it into the message I should send. 30 emails/texts and that's hours I could save each day. Now that's Ctrl+Shift+U and one keystroke.
What makes it different from pasting into a chatbot:
- It works in place, in the field you're already typing in (Gmail, Slack, LinkedIn, anywhere on the web)
- Three real tones per rewrite: Polished, Direct, Warm. Pick one with a keystroke and it lands right in your field
- Flow Mode: when a thought is too tangled to type, right-click the Unvent chip (or press Alt+Shift+D) and say it. Speech is transcribed on your device (audio never leaves your machine), and fillers, stutters, and "no wait, scratch that" self-corrections clean themselves up before the words land in your draft. Say "End Flow" to finish hands-free. An optional polish sends only the finished text, never audio; turn it off and everything stays on-device.
- The details that come from real use: rewrites never clobber your email signature, dictated words land at your caret, and a "Start with Flow" setting lets you combine everything by running Flow mode straight from Ctrl+Shift+U and automatically following up with the rewrites. You can essentially speak your email and get fully polished copies.
- It writes like a person: no robotic filler, no chatbot tells
- Privacy is enforced, not promised: drafts are never stored, logged, or trained on, and the test suite fails if that ever changes. Analytics are off by default.

There's also a monthly persona card (The Diplomat, The Closer...) based on how you communicate: your stats live on your machine, and sharing is always your call. You get to see just how Unvent has leveled up your communication.

My favourite feature is Start with Flow, which allows you to literally SPEAK your emails. Just say what's on your mind, end off with "End Flow", and Unvent cuts out all the "ums", "uhs", "7- no uh wait I mean 9!" and shows you what you meant to say, AND also provides 3 tone rewrites so you can select your warm, polished, or direct tone.
Speech to ready-to-send email in less than 2 minutes, this was mind-blowing to me. Happy to answer any questions (including tips on how to get the most out of Unvent in your day-to-day work/leisure)!
