The onboarding is rough. If you're coming from something like ManyChat where everything is one click, UChat will frustrate you for the first week. I had to watch three YouTube tutorials and dig through their community forum before I understood how contexts and session variables actually work together.
Docs are decent for the basics, but the moment you get into webhooks with dynamic headers or nested condition blocks, the examples dry up. I ended up reverse-engineering one of their template bots just to see how a pro setup handles branching with 8+ paths. Would've saved me two afternoons if that example lived in the docs.
Analytics is the other gap. You get message counts and basic funnel data, but I can't easily see which channel is converting best on a specific flow without exporting to Google Sheets and building my own pivot. For agency work where clients want a monthly report, that's a real pain.

Hi Martin,
Thank you for taking the time to share this detailed feedback β and I want to apologise for the frustration you experienced. Reviews like yours are hard to read, but they're exactly the kind of signal we needed to take a hard look at ourselves and rebuild better.
I'm Matthew, co-founder of UChat. I want to address your concerns directly rather than deflect.
Would you mind sharing specific examples of the unfinished features that caused you problems? That context genuinely helps us trace what went wrong and make sure it doesn't happen again.
A few things have changed since you wrote this:
Our team has grown significantly, and support response time is now typically within 4 hours. Issues shouldn't drag on for days or weeks unless they're genuinely complex β and even then, you'll get regular updates, not silence.
On third-party integrations: we've accepted that "it's the third party's fault" isn't an acceptable answer for our users. Our team now owns integration reliability end-to-end, with monitoring and retries, and we'll keep improving.
On transparency: we don't block complaints on Facebook. All feedback is welcome in our community β even when it's harsh β because that's the only way we get better.
Since you last used UChat, the product has changed substantially β we've moved from a rule-based chatbot builder into a full AI agent platform with multi-LLM support, voice bots, and AI Functions that take real actions.
I'd genuinely like the chance to make this right. If you're open to it, give UChat another try β we'll do our best to make it right this time.
Thanks again for the honest feedback.
Matthew
