TypoTab’s “Works Anywhere” feature looks perfect for those of us juggling multiple writing apps. The custom prompt system sounds incredibly handy for repetitive tasks
@gemanor Hey Gabriel, we're glad you like the idea!
It does come in handy but alternatively you can always type a prompt directly in the search bar to fit the task at hand😉

Been using it since release, it has really helped rethink and elevate how I construct my sentences😀
Rico - excellent first launch! The menu bar integration for macOS shows great attention to user workflow - no context switching needed is a huge win.
Smart move offering 30% off at launch to build early momentum. The "works on any app" approach really sets TypoTab apart - it's like having a writing assistant that follows you everywhere on your Mac.
Love how you've combined:
Writing automation
Content generation
Grammar refinement
Tone adjustment
Really curious about:
How do you handle different writing styles across various apps?
What's been the most common use case from early users?
Any interesting patterns in how users switch between different writing modes?
Quick questions:
How do you balance quick suggestions vs deeper analysis?
What's your approach to maintaining context across different apps?
Any plans for collaboration features or team workflows?
The launch engagement suggests many Mac users want system-wide writing assistance. You're essentially creating a universal writing co-pilot!
Keep refining the macOS integration - you're making professional writing accessible everywhere! ⌨️✨
Looking forward to seeing how TypoTab evolves. This feels like the future of integrated writing assistance! 🚀
P.S. The system-wide functionality could be especially powerful for content creators who work across multiple apps.
@xi_z Hey, thanks! We're thrilled you love TypoTab.
To answer your questions in order:
Different writing styles can be established via prompts. They're not unique to the app level, but we're currently working on context-based responses. We're still figuring it out, but this should mean less input for maximum output.
The most common use case has been varied. From students writing case studies to professionals automating cold emails, it varies widely.
If by writing modes you mean prompts, it seems more professional users have detailed prompts for the task at hand, while less technical users often use the 'on-the-fly' prompts/actions.
The last three questions aren't applicable to TypoTab's actual features. For more information, check out our demo and scroll through our landing page (https://www.typotab.com) .
