Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I’m Nikhil, the creator of TwisterPlot—a collaborative wild storytelling game where each contributor sees only the last line before adding their twist. Once the story reaches 400 words, the full narrative showcased with a blend of diverse imaginations on the wall.
Key Features:
• Blind Contributions: Add your segment knowing only the last line, ensuring genuine surprises.
• Story Wall: Explore completed stories and share your favorites.
Who It’s For:
• Anyone who loves a good plot twist.
• Writers seeking creative inspiration.
• Readers craving fresh, unpredictable stories.
• Teams looking for a fun, collaborative activity.
I built TwisterPlot over a weekend, inspired by a friend’s storytelling game at work. I’m excited to share it with you and would love to hear your feedback.
Try it out at twisterplot.com and let the storytelling adventure begin!

@masump Hey, as of now its not associated to the part they contributed but to the whole story they will be associated as a writer... not sure if its the right way or not. I'm open to suggestions

This tool is an absolute blast but how do you manage the wild storytelling while still keeping the final narrative coherent enough for players to enjoy?

@jackson_wells That’s the magic of TwisterPlot! While every writer adds their own wild twist, the story still follows a natural flow thanks to the power of collective storytelling. The unpredictability is what makes it fun. The chaos is the charm, and somehow, it all just works...

@jackson_wells I'm open to suggestions on how we can make the coherence part intact

I love the concept. Does the game provide any prompts or themes to guide players or is it completely open ended?

@samuel_kahlo I have kept it completely open ended as of now... just to see the charm of chaos :)

What a fantastic idea. The chaos of only seeing the last line must lead to some hilarious surprises. Great job bringing something so unique to life.

💡 Bright idea
This is a great time but I’m a bit concerned about pacing. In fast paced games like this players sometimes struggle to jump in confidently. Are there any features to help new players get started without feeling overwhelmed?

@juan_smith1 great point Juan, will definitely think more about it.

What a unique idea. How does the word limit impact the flow of the game?
Does it encourage short, punchy twists or can players create more complex narratives within that limit?

@arianna_wright in the future updates I’m planning to bring only minimum word limit, no upper cap.. but the actual idea is to keep it short and to just give few lines to take story forward meanwhile adding you’re twist
