Hey Product Hunt 👋
I've spent 6 years inside other people's YouTube channels — my agency has edited 2,000+ videos for creators from zero to full-time. The channels that grew all did the same thing, and it wasn't better editing.
Before recording anything, they found videos in their niche doing 5–10x that channel's average — proven ideas hiding in plain sight — and made their own take. Everyone else made whatever they felt like that week, with 15 open tabs and a spreadsheet.
YouTube has all this data. It just doesn't show it to you. So I built TubeGrade:
🔍 Outlier score on every video — is this 5x the channel's average, or a flop?
⚡ Views per hour + engagement rate, live, overlaid right on YouTube (free Chrome extension)
📊 Channel deep-stats and monetization status at a glance
📝 Full transcripts to study the hooks of anything that worked
🤖 AI-powered idea + competitor research in the web app
🔌 MCP server — connect TubeGrade to Claude, Cursor or any MCP client and do YouTube research right inside your AI chat
The extension is free — install it and YouTube just starts showing you the numbers.
PH deal: first month of Pro for $1 with code TRY1 (or FOUNDING99 → founding price $99/yr, first 100 people).
I'm building this in the open and I'll be here all day — tell me what's missing and what YouTube should be showing you. All feedback welcome. 🙏

The overlay showing outlier scores and views/hour right on YouTube without making you bounce between tabs is genuinely clever. Whoever designed this clearly watched creators work and skipped the usual bloat.
