What's interesting about this app (although there are countless "inspiration" and "planning" apps for travel) is that the product is looking to cater to the travel industry, specifically hotels to drive direct bookings. If travelers can find relevant information, a hotel could use Triptease as a way of driving more transactions v. OTAs (online travel agencies). If true, that's a huge win.
It's currently not clear how the company is looking to get eyeballs on the product, though.
Reminds me a bit of Exposure with its photo-centric storytelling presentation. I often see travel diaries on Exposure as well.
