Every travel site shows you $4,000 trips when you have $2,000. Trips in Reach flips that. Tell it your budget, dates, and travelers — get 3–5 realistic US vacation concepts that actually fit, with honest cost breakdowns. AI-planned, free to try.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Jeff — solo founder, three months in. I built Trips in Reach because I got tired of falling in love with $4,000 trips on a $2,000 budget.
Every travel site starts with "where do you want to go?" Then you fall in love with a destination, then you find out the price, then you're deflated. My version asks $ first, and hides anything that doesn't fit. If you have $1,800 for 5 nights in August with two kids, it returns 3–5 real options — with honest total costs — and nothing over-budget makes it to the results page.
The AI is Claude Sonnet 4.6. The lodging prices are calibrated from real market data (Claude was 30–50% off when I let it estimate). Free to try, no account needed for the first search.
What I'd love feedback on:
1. Is the "give me your budget first" framing clear enough on the intake?
2. Do the cost estimates feel trustworthy? (I ran a real search for a family trip to Sedona last week — came in at $2,150 estimate, actual was $2,090.)
3. What's the destination or trip you'd try first?
Happy to answer anything. I'll be around all day.

Tried it with a $1,500 weekend budget and got back a Lake Tahoe cabin idea with a realistic breakdown down to gas and groceries. Wish more travel sites worked this way.
