Plan, log and split — one trip notebook. No sign-up, works offline from the moment you land, and your data stays on your phone. [ITINERARY] One day, one page: next stop, flight, countdown and weather on a single card. [EXPENSES] Pick a category, type the amount — logged in three taps. Any currency converts itself; pay with cash you exchanged and it's priced at the rate you actually got, with your cash balance on the exchange page.

I built an app that does the Notes + spreadsheet + "who owes who" math for group trips. It survived four App Store rejections
Hey guys,
I built an app called TripGo because I got sick of group trip planning: itineraries scattered in Notes, spreadsheets nobody updates after day two, and spending the last night doing awkward math in the group chat where someone always quietly loses a few bucks.
It's an offline-first iOS app (English + Traditional Chinese) that combines the itinerary, multi-currency expenses, and the "who owes who" split into one place. No account needed, no cloud, data stays on your phone.
What it actually does:
- One day per page itinerary, flights as boarding-pass cards
- Log a spend in 3 taps, any currency. Converts at daily rates by default;
Pro lets you set your own rate per trip or lock today's rate for the whole
trip. Pay with cash you exchanged and it uses the rate you actually got
- Running balances for the group, settle everything in one tap, undo if you
mess up
- Turn a bill or the split summary into one image for the group chat. Friends
don't need the app
- Home Screen widget shows today's spend; Lock Screen widget and Control
Center button start a new entry without hunting for the app
- A map that stamps every country you've visited
The tech side:
React Native / Expo + SQLite on device. I'm mostly the product/design person, and I built this from scratch using Claude and Claude Design. Not calling it "privacy-first" as a buzzword—it's literally just because it's the cheapest way to make something that works seamlessly on a plane with no signal.
The pain:
It took 6 months, not a weekend, and Apple rejected it 4 times (for dumb reasons like my own redeem code instead of IAP, and twice for blurry screenshots).
Pricing:
Free for 1 trip with full itinerary and expenses. Pro is US$39.99 (one-time) for insights, exports, and unlimited trips. No monthly subscription—I travel a few times a year and refuse to pay a subscription for that.
The limits:
iOS only. The split runs on one phone (you log for the group, the app does the math—no multi-user real-time sync by design). Also, I've never used Splitwise because it's not really a thing in Taiwan, so I'm curious what it does better.
It launched on Monday. I'll be actively updating and fixing things as people find bugs.
If you usually travel with friends, I’d love your brutal, honest feedback.

Hey everyone! 🎉
I’m Lindy, and I built TripGo because group trip planning is genuinely broken.
We’ve all been there: flight details in email confirmation purgatory, daily plans lost in group chats, and the dreaded final-night math session trying to figure out who owes what.
What TripGo does:
🗺️ All-in-one: Itineraries, boarding passes, and multi-currency expenses.
✈️ Offline-first: No account, no cloud. Works completely offline on flights or remote spots.
💸 Painless Splitting: Track running balances and settle up in one tap (with instant export as an image for the group chat).
Built entirely by myself using React Native, Expo, SQLite, and Claude. It took 6 months and 4 App Store rejections, but it's finally out today!
I'd love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or how you usually handle group trips. Grab it and let me know what you think! 👇
