Before my first trip to Japan I saved hundreds of Instagram reels and TikToks: a ramen shop in Shinjuku, a shrine "you have to see at night", a café with a view of Fuji. When it was time to plan, none of it helped. The saves were buried in two apps, half the videos never said where the place actually was, and I had no idea which ones were near each other or how to get between them.
So the planning became a spreadsheet, a dozen Google Maps tabs and a group chat full of links nobody could find again. On the ground it was worse: standing in a station, scrolling back through saved videos, trying to work out which train to take next.
I wanted one place where the plan is the map: each day's stops, how to get between them, and the flights and hotel around them. Found a place in a reel? Search it, add it to a day, and see where it sits next to everything else.
