Hey Product Hunt! I’m Vlad, the solo maker of Trial Radar.
Free trials turn into charges simply because nobody keeps cancel dates in their head. After losing that game enough times, I built an extension that tracks those dates right in Gmail, where your receipts already live.
Trial Radar scans your existing emails for trials and renewals, then puts a counter on your toolbar for anything charging in the next seven days. When you click to cancel, it first checks an open CC0 dataset on GitHub with 20 supported services, falls back to the unsubscribe link in the email, or drafts a cancellation email for you.
Above all, I wanted to make sure your mail never leaves your device. The extension runs without a backend, user accounts, or telemetry, and I enforced this at the code level rather than just promising it. A build-time guard checks the source and fails the build if any file tries to connect anywhere other than mail.google.com. Locally, it only saves the service name, amount, and date, while ignoring the raw email text.
Version 0.1.0 is free on the Chrome Web Store right now. It will definitely miss some tricky emails at first, so please tell me when it does. I’d love to know what it caught for you, what slipped through, and which service I should add next.
