Type your address, get your trash and recycling day with the city's own source beside it. Covers 500+ US and Canadian cities, read from municipal route maps and per-address calendars, never guessed. If an address cannot be verified, it says so. Free, no account, and your address is never stored with your reports.
Hi Product Hunt. I built TrashDayNow because "what day is trash pickup" has no good answer online. Cities publish their routes in a hundred formats: map layers, per-address calendars, PDFs, contractor apps. The answer depends on your street, and most sites just guess a citywide day.
TrashDayNow reads the city's own source for the exact address. That works today for about 36% of US rooftops and about half of Canadian ones, and every answer shows where it came from. If we cannot verify an address, we say so instead of guessing.
A few things I am proud of:
- Every city guide shows the holiday rule the city actually published, and what our address checks saw last Labor Day.
- Trash Day Trends: Tuesday is trash day for 22% of homes, and most people check the evening before.
- The holiday rules for 63 cities are open data under CC BY-NC: github.com/bineyamtsegaye1-cyber/trashdaynow-holiday-rules
Privacy: no account, your address is not stored with feedback, and the calendar link never contains it.
What I would love from you: check your own address and tell me if it is right or wrong. Every "wrong" report is how coverage grows.
